CAVO Ceredigion Association of Voluntary Organisations-Volunteer Centre role is to:
- Promote Volunteering
- Provide information, advice and support to people to make suitable choices about volunteering.
- Information, advice, signposting and referral service to volunteers, on training and other learning opportunities (in conjunction with Careers Wales West).
- CAVO help volunteers access accreditation and recognition through volunteering.
- (MV -Millennium Volunteers is a UK wide initiative designed to promote and recognise volunteering among young people aged 16 – 25.)
- (Volunteer Awards CAVO Volunteer Awards of Recognition 2010 ‘Volunteers who carried out exceptional work in their community which made a real difference to others or themselves’ Celebrating Volunteers …)
- CAVO Develop new volunteering opportunities.
- With access to over 250 organisations and a variety of volunteering opportunities on the CAVO/Volunteering Wales database, we are able to offer a service to match individuals to opportunities
- Providing information on best practice on managing best practice on managing volunteers
- The CAVO Volunteer Centre also provides a support service to Voluntary Organisations which includes:
- Working with volunteer involving organisations to develop and maintain standards of good practice
- Promotion of volunteering opportunities.
